Welcome to the World MTB Orienteering Championships and Junior World MTB Orienteering Championships 15-20 July 2022 with the Event Centre in the historic copper mining town of Falun.
Important Dates
The three concluding races of the WMTBOC and JWMTBOC will take place in Falun, while the two opening distances will be held in the neighbouring municipality of Säter with its historic silver mines. In Säter’s forests the competitors will enjoy fast orienteering on sandy paths through moderately hilly terrain, while Falun’s forests will challenge them with steeper, rockier and rootier paths.
Whats New?
In today’s race we have a coaching zone where team officials will be able to provide water, sports drinks etc. to their athletes as they pass the finish area on the marked route between laps. Teams without team officials can place water or drink in the technical area together with any tools or equipment they leave there. This is a change from the information given at the Team Officials’ Meeting.
